I was there on Saturday playing golf. The lake is electric motors only with the exception of two dinner cruise boats. But it does'nt really matter because the lake is private.

The is not for boating unless yuo live there. But the Ritz Carlton is the nicest hotel in Las Vegas.
If you never stayed in Ritz you don't know what you are missing.

I was there for 4 days last week. The Ritz is excellent, but should be for the price. A little less is the Hyatt, but also very nice. A small "village" feel to the shops all around the property. Some great restaurants, some small sandwich shops, clothing stores etc. Super golf course. Lake is small, for electric boats only or the aforementioned dinner cruise yachts. If you want that though, do the desert princess dinner cruise on Mead at the las Vegas boat harbor just 11 miles away. That Canadian bean pole Celine Dion lives there, but she didn't invite us in for cocktails.
Lake mead marina is 8 miles down the road.

Oh yea, there's also small "cruise boat" type of casino there if you must gamble.

Montelago Hotel is a less expensive hotel there other than those mentioned. Not a 5 star, but just a place to stay while you hang at Lake Mead.
