I hope this sheds some light on the thread I had earlier. This engine is about 600 lbs. right now and it's not something you just throw in the back of your truck and haul it off.

Thank you. It's been a lot of work, but it's almost there.
I should have it on the water week after next.

Nice looking motor.
With enough forethought, a little padding and protection, you could transport that in the back of a pick-up and never know the difference.

I can transport it in the back of a truck, I just wanted it put together before I did. And that was supposed to happen today, and it didn't.

Ahhh... I see. Sucks regardless I suppose. Good luck getting everything together for it, sounds like you'll need it.

sure you can. I move them all the time. Just toss that fawker on a tire or wood or pallet and tie that bad boy down and get it to your place!! No big deal.
good luck.

That's how I got it there. You have to take a look at the oil pan, it won't sit level. I have an engine cradle for it that I'm going to use to haul it with.

Out of curiosity, where do they place the bungs for the ext water temp sensors?

They are on the backside where all 4 tubes merge into 1.

cool, sounds like you got it under control now!
thats what the blocks of wood and/or spare tire trick is for... ;) most oil pans aren't exactly "level" :rollside: (i.e. couple pieces of 4x4 or spare tire work wonders on those not-so level pans) :crossx:
I have moved more motors with spare tires than I can count.

The quality is excellent on these headers and Paul Bassett is a really cool guy and very helpful.
The only thing you have to be careful of is that they don't come with any brackets to remount your accesories. I think Paul is working on that right now, other then that they are really nice.
