Disneyland in June is definitely not the Happiest Place on Earth! Glad the kids had fun though. :boxed:

I know it's all about the kids but I've never understood the logic of spending a fortune to enter a park where, after spending all that money, you spend all your time in lines. How is that fun for the kids?!
Fock Disneyland! :boxed:

I've heard the best time to go to Disneyland is on Super Bowl Sunday.

IMO, it's going to be a long summer at the "Happiest Place On Earth", especially since they're going to continue celebrating the 50'th Anniversary until October.
The 50'th Anniversary crowds and year-round schools have pretty much killed the concept of "off-season". On a recent visit, it was me, my wife, my daughter, and most of the state of Utah. We left just as Arizona was arriving.
Be in line before the gates open - the first two hours are the best for knocking out rides. The MK starts feeling crowded about 10:30 am.
Time shift your meals. Everybody wants breakfast @ 8, lunch at 12, dinner at 6. Breakfast tastes better after 2 hours of Indiana Jones, Splash, Space,
Thunder Mountains and the Matterhorn...
If you're visiting with the youngest ones, knock out Peter Pan, Dumbo, and the rest of Fantasyland first. They're some of the slowest loading rides in the park - Peter Pan can go from no wait to 45 minutes as soon as the crowd
crosses the moat...
Oh, don't count on Pirates of the Caribbean for no wait, and a nice cool respite from the hot summer weather. They just completed a rehab of the ride and threw Johnny Depp into the mix. Probable big lines of people wanting to "experience" the "new" POTC.
When it gets too crazy - it's back to the hotel for us for "Swimming Pool Adventure"
Bob Sehlinger's "Unofficial Guide to Disneyland" is full of good advice that might save your trip on a busy summer day.

Agree with you and thats why I havent gone at that time. Have heard that from people that have gone during the game.
When they pry the guac and cocktail from my cold, dead hands.

that disney closed the area near pirates of the carribean? They have erected a huge screen on the island and bleachers on the land side....so if you head toward french quarter you have to walk through the area by Indiana and jungle cruise. So its about 12 ft wide, they had one way walking ropes set up,like cattle. All this for the movie premier this week.

I think what the cattle lined up for rides at Didneyland need... is more cowbell!... :rollside:
Took the wife and 9 month old out to celebrate her friends B-day at Rainforest Cafe at Downtown Didney on a Friday night last month.. watchin the kid's eyes light up as he swiveled his head to look at all the stuff made the crowd worth it..:-)

As greedy as Disney is, how much did that autograph cost? If it was free, I'm surprised. They bend you over for everything else there...

If you don't like crowds at Dland, don't go on Thanksgiving. Geez, doesn't anyone go to the family dinner anymore?

We built a site inside the park next to the Jungle Cruise prior to the big 50th bash - it's WAY strange to park your work truck out on Main Street and see thousands of peeps working under lights getting the park into shape for the next day... Painters, landscapers, steamers, you name it. Make you place cardboard underneath so any leaks don't hit the pavement...
They even do the full bomb inspection dealio before you are allowed to drive in. Security there is plentiful, and I am glad it is, given how many kids are in that park every day...
