496 stroker tall deck

What is the difference between a tall deck truck 454 and a regular car 454?
I have a chance to buy a 496 pretty reasonable and was wondering will my heads and intake work on it? TIA

If it is all mark 4 stuff, just get a longer rod, and off to the races. Just a 10.2 deck rather than a 9.8. Everything else is the same.
You will need to adjust the intake manifold.

Also,, will need different distributor if you don't use one of the tall deck intakes that accept a "standard" height distributor. For that reason, you may save money by buying a tall deck intake instead of spacer plates. Pushrods will need to be changed as well.

I just notice that the block has been hard blocked up to the freeze plugs.
