do you spend on gas for a weekend at the lake? I was reading another thread and a few people mentioned their gas bill for a weekend. I was surprised how much difference there was between people.
For 2 1/2 days I spend $200.00 in the vehicle and around $500.00 to $600.00 in the boat. We do a lot of boating, usually on the water from 9:00 AM to 11:00 or 12:00 PM.
Maybe we'll spend more time on the beach!!! :D :D

Around $150 round trip in the truck. Maybe $50-$75 in the boat. And we usually cook our food at the house so no restaurant bills. I try to do a weekend trip for $250 total. :rollside:

I always have the intentions of making lunch and dinner. We always stay on the water so late unless we BBQ in the channel with other board members, we usually get Papa Leones or Javalena.

$50 on the houseboat
$75 on the Hydrostream
$120 on the Stryker
$245 total...
I think we spend a lot more on food and drinks for everybody...

kinda depends where i go to if the river about 80-90 bucks each way for truck.Boat goes about 90 for gas to fill up but usually will last me 3 days and alot of driving vs floating.Got to love them 350 mags for that part. Then camping fees usually 60 bucks for 2 nights.
If powell my gas goes up or basically double for truck and boat but a weeks worth of boating makes it nice

From Rancho to Havi about 150 round trip (not towing), and about 350 in the boat for 2 1/2 days.

About 140 round trip in the truck so it is out there right now.
About 60 round trip in the Malibu
Anywhere's from 75-100 in the boat since we only boat 1 day on a normal weekend because with the baby it's too hard to boat and go home in the same day. Of course there is usually someone with us as well so the 75-100 dollars is at least split 2 ways if not 3.
We have a house there so normally we eat in. Eating out is usually if we are there for more than the weekend or there in the winter. When your off the lake and showered up it's nice to stay at home and relax with some drinks and air conditioning.
As far as income........It's not just about that. We rarely eat out, we rarely go to the movies. Our main source of recreation is Havasu. We will do other things but think if you eat out twice a week and go to the movies 3 times a month how much that will equal in money that could be spent on gas.

A weekend trip cost about a grand when you include lodging, but that doesn't include food or drink, because I'm gonna eat and drink wherever I am. :)

yeah, 40 miles round trip to Lake Pleasant ($11),
10 minutes WOT to Humbug cove and back($9),
launch fee at the Marina($6),
Bud light 12 pack ($10).
These high gas prices are ruining the budget :)
It must suck to have to drive 4 hours to the lake, and wait in line to launch, only to battle the Havasu weekend chop all day.
