We all know just how important this is, but can you get a better deal? United Marine Underwriters has instant online quotes.

Come on fellas, no need to get out the tar and feathers. Let me amend my first post. If you have an older boat or you are pushing the century mark on GPS then fill out the guaranteed quote section and see what you get back. United Marine is an excellent insurance company and it can't hurt to spend a few minutes to maybe save a lot of money.

Can you give quotes via PM? I don't want to put all my info on a website. Just a number on the boat please...

My quote arrived by e-mail today. For my 19' Eliminator Sprint jet the quote said, "Thank you for the opportunity to provide an insurance quotation. Due to the type of the vessel, we do not have a market and will be unable to provide you with a quotation. Sorry we could not be of assistance." :(

I did find it helpful. I searched to find another boat insurance company, and did it all online at once. Thanks for the idea.

I just filled out the online application, and when I received the forms in the mail, I signed and faxed over. That simple. I can't remember what the horsepower rating is, but I do remember something about 75 MPH.

I got my bahner insured by aaa. IT was cheap(135 a year, but that was 6 year ago). But they won't insure my twin. I find a small mom and pa.To do it.($1,600 a year)
