Im pretty sure if we took what each truck sold for originally and then subtracted out what it is worth now. The Dodge would have a MUCH higher depreciation %. ;) I actually drove the ford for 4 years and sold it for more than I bought it for including the lift :D not a bad investment in my mind at all.

Unless you need the 2500HD to tow skip on the diesel and get the 5.3 or the 1500 with the Vortec Max.
Our truck hauls ass, pulls 5K+ pounds with ease and runs on crap gas.(Not to mention it's 15K plus cheaper and fits in regular parking spots)
LOL... you just said nice apartments;)
Wait 6months to a year before you buy.....The market is a little strange right now. :)

Being able to fill up on ethanol is noce too. Much cheaper than even crap gas. ;)
Thats the reason why I got rid of diesel. I only tow the boat home once a year. no need for diesel anymore.

thats why I said take the % of depreciation. not total value. The dodge has depreciated much more % wise.
For example
if the ford was 40k new. and I ended up selling it for 20K. It deprecaited 50%
If the dodge was 20k new and it is now worth 5k. It lost 75%
I would much rather lose 50% than 75% regardless of make ;)
On both Dodges we bought and sold. we lost close to 75%. ;) Both were 97's with the 5.9. one was 4wd and one was 2wd.
there is some fact for you. your comment carries no fact. it seems more subjective than anything.

You could glass TV's into the doors and quarter panels if you really wanted too...(I have seen this on a couple show cars we sponsered while working at Magnaflow)
I am pretty simple....Big motor/HP and nice wheels make me pretty happy. :crossx:

Oh..and one Dodge was the fully loaded laramie. the other was a strippy model. Ironically enough. options didnt change the percentage lost on either truck. I do have to say, from a resell standpoint we have always done pretty well on our Fords. The chevys have been pretty decent too.
