Is the finished bilge standard or is that an upgrade? I don't recall it being on the price sheet.

I don't have the answer, but DCB certainly has an "options" list that would choke a horse :220v:

200+K for a boat and they can't paint the underside of a hatch?

Or you could just do like Eliminator does for the same price range and get the closest 5 year old to fling paint brushes in the bilge...:)

Actually the underside of the hatch should come finished. Either gel or carpet I believe. I don't remember paying extra on either boat. Maybe I missed that upgrade cost

the carpet is STD, and I believe allways has been.

The underside of my hatch is a smooth fiberglas panel. Standard on all Nordics.
The bilge is another story. Basic splatter paint.

The transom, bilge (engine well) and underside of the hatch on mine is the 5 year old applied splatter paint that Brown referrred to, the back of the seat, the sides, and the deck in the engine compartment are carpetted. I remember thinking that the splatter paint was a nice upgrade over some of what I was seeing at the time. Oh and that 5 year old painter must now be 14, and rigging somewhere. :)

Upgraded bottom of the hatch, I think it comes gel or carpet (stock)

No upgrade for the gel in the bilge area.
Left and right sides shown.

BTW...I was joking on this one.:)...I know it has been 5+ years since Eliminator has been splattering bilges....btw my Eliminator Eagle in 97 did not have a splatter bilge and was a clean bilge for the era.....maybe Brandie won't stop talking to me....:)

And if ya look at the prices on some of these options, tends to make me think the person who came up with these amounts, was at the time loaded. :D :D Hows your 32 bitch? I hear your 400hp cooler then Charlie.

The bilge to my knowledge is standard finish, that is one thing that actually sold my DCB. The new owner had been looking at Daytonas and when I opened my hatch he couldn't believe how shiny and smooth the floor was with out all that paint splatered all over.
On the hatch it comes with carpet or can be geled, I was told they are hard to gel and will sometimes crack undernieth, but that was a while ago I heard that.
That super clean look is all part of the DCB build.

that shiat is funny!... LOL
I was thinking of getting out the epoxy paint myself and do it up DCB style cuz I don't like the splatter either.. but I said **** it...
afterall who really looks at the engine compartment anyway cuz its supposed to remain shut. unless, or course, your a "show-off" ;) ;) .....

With spatter paint and a 496 I'd probably keep it shut too. :boxed:

C'mon now Mr. Big, I've never said anything bad about DCLB and meant it. Besides, it's not DJCLB, so I don't get the Mr. Big discount, therefore I went another route for bang for the buck. :D :D :D

I’m not a baller so I don’t care what is under the hood.
A baller gets overcharged for a pimped-out boat with the latest blingy things on it then takes a loss on it when they sell it with 8 others just like it the next year.
I don’t care if others want to ballerw but its just not for me. I got better things to do with my money. ;)
That bottom finish is an Epoxy paint and its will cost $500 to apply. If someone pays anymore than this, that’s just absurd. :rollside:
The gel under the hood looks cool. I would pay extra for that. :crossx:
P.S. besides the 496 is a "take-out." wanna buy it? :rollside:

And this coming from a guy who's motor builder was schooled by Carson. I'm wondering, did your motor builder finally get the dyno bolted to the floor, or does it still move around like a vacume cleaner when he's doing power runs? I also hear he's got more weight to cheat the dyno calibration then Golds gym.
