List your opinions of the sest hulls out there in order of preference. Trying to get a handle on this jet boat world. One person says one boat....the next person says a 180. Im confused and hope to get a better idea of what to look for. Thanks as always,
Jason

Its what you want becuase it will be your boat. What are you going to do with it? Cruise,ski-tube or haul ass ?
How big 18 19 20 21 22 ?
open bow closed bow
get a good used tri hull, drop a big block in it and make it a hot rod.

for an all around performer, I don't think you can't go wrong with a Rogers 19'. They ride good and you can put a lot of hp to them to make them run real good.

do you wanna go fast or cruise?? It's like buying a car or truck, ask yourself the same ?'s about affordability, application, # of passengers, etc.

Hands down, Rogers 18 or 19TR.

I am looking for a well rounded boat. Lenght...(the bigger the better). Closed bow, big block, 70mph is good, just want something structuraly sound and reliable. cruising and maybe some skiing but I really want to raft up and drink some beer with my fellow Americans !!!!! Ive driven ultra jets and love them but I really like nostalgic style........No pickle forks though. Thanks.

what about a 21' Elim. Daytona? I'd think that would be a solid lake hot rod.

My choice for a cruiser would be a Spectra 21' with a warmed over BBC and a properly set-up pump. Should put your speed in the 60's or 70's depending on how hot you go on the engine.

In my opinion, I like the California Performance 19 footer. The hulls are solid and fast. I have seen one with an open bow if you want more room. They have a real good ride too. They are super smooth in good chop once you get air traped under the hull.

I would really like something like this with a closed in engine compartment but I like open too. This setup get me wet. He says it will do 60-65 mph.

That thing is cherry. If it had a deck rail it would be the perfect little day cruiser. On the other hand, it is bid up to $8500 right now, and if I had that kind of cash I think I would build something up myself. There is certainly an advantage to a turnkey boat though, especially at this time of year!!

I rented that movie specifically because my Dad told me about the boat scene. I can't remember the specific dialogue now, but do remember that they get all excited about renting a "Jet boat". When the "Jet boat" gets driven up on the dock you can see the propeller spinning! :skull: It WAS a cool looking boat with a big engine and OT headers though!
