That is one pretty piece alright. Funny how the carbs sit on an angle like that. I'm sure the thing is optimized all to hell, and I've seen similar setups but I've always wondered how that all works. Obviously there's more stuff going on other a straight shot of fuel and air to each cylinder.

sorry I didn't reply sooner we just had second child june 29th, just got home. Which means my wife is in bed so it is safe to say how much that intake was :argue: 2300.00 not bad considering you get what you whant.

This carburetor arrangement is technically less staggered than locating the carbs inline, because the cylinder banks are offset on V8 engines.
Also, this is mainly why split Dominators came into existence; the idea there was to both keep the carb's throttle plates poised over each runner but also still inline/parallel with each cylinder bank. In the picture below, you can see a sheetmetal T/R with the baseplate for rotated carbs, but next to it is the baseplate with the split carbs (which remain inline/parallel to the cylinder banks).

What would I get out of putting this set up on my CP? I am running a 468 in a 19 foot California Performance.
