Any action in north texas?

Am thinking about moving to the north corner of the panhandle(Dalhart). one of the deciding factors has to be whether there is intellegent(?)hot boat life in the area and how far i will have to travel to play with the toy. anyone familiar with this area? appreciate any help you can offer.

How do you look on a horse? Lake Meridith is close but not a lake I would put a flat on. Have not been on that lake in years. The wind will be a problem, only blows 350 days a year. Call me I will answer any question I can. J.J. Beaver 972-438-2277 :)
