Safe to tow?

On the fourth im leaving for powell. Im staying in vegas one night but i have to pic up the boat in fort mohave first. Is this route safe to tow a boat and is it the best route?

Tha climb out of laughlin will be the toughest part. But other than that is really the only way.

2 lane highway with lots of up and downs. When i drove it there was no LE and very little traffic (with the exception of around searchlight).
Not only is that the best route but i think it may be your only!

Its a great trip, but absolutely, positively, obey the speed limit when you go thru Searchlite. Otherwise, foot to the floor...

i have a 6.0L denali and i just got service last week on the transmission, both differentials, the transfer case, and had the radiator flushed. So how long is the climb?

The pull out of Laughlin is fairly long, fairly steep and it's usually pretty damn hot already when you are traveling. If you have concerns about your truck, consider going back down to I-40 and then over to the 95 North.

Like Keith said , i think if you get back on the 40 to the 95 north to Searchlight, you will avoid the climb out of laughlin. (i think)

I just got back from Powell. The 40 to Flagstaff, to 89 to Page is a nice easy drive. 5.5 hours from my door in Havasu to Page. It'll probably take you longer going the Vegas route. We came home thru Vegas, spent the night at stateline. From Page to Stateline it was 5 hours and another 2.5 hours to Havasu.

im going through vegas because were going with 2 other families and theyre pulling their boats from home. So it will be fun to hang out in vegas one night. Tuesday we stay in vegas, Wednesday we stay at the hotel in page at the marina, and then thursday we get the houseboat. We will have the boat until the next wednesday. We are either going to stay in padre bay or last chance bay. come by and have a beer if your on the lake.
