Hey Skullinator, let us know how that Hydromotive works out. I ran into a guy who had a cat and motor just like mine and he claimed he picked up 6 mph with a 31 Hydro vs a 32 Bravo eek! I tried a 31 Hydro, but it was so rough out that day I couldn't trim her up all the way, safely! Oh yeah, and I broke the drive :( The Hydro is a stern lifting prop vs. the Bravos bow lift. So, you'll probably need more trim then what you usually do.

Cool hooking up with you and the family. I'm glad the electrical wasn't a big deal. I was trying to meet you in Thompson's bay after you left, but it took a while to gather the family up. 88 MPH is great speed for your set up. I took a trip with Gary (I think you met him) around the back side of the island Saturday evening. The best I could do was 82. Then Gary hops in the drivers seat and hits 88 from Copper Canyon back to Thompson's. Must have been the wind, who knows. I'm curious how the Hydromotive will work out for you. I'm thinking I need more tail lift for when the water is sticky. Hell, I just need more HP.
Are you going up on the 14th? Fireworks and all...big deal for the kids. We're leaving Thursday (no school on Friday) and returning Sunday or Monday. Hope to see you there.

Just so everyone knows, Skull's Talon looks fast just sitting in the channel. Coming from a guy who frequents Havasu 20-25 times a year, there's not much else like it on the lake. High back buckets, black windshield, fiberglass engine hatch with built in scoop.....definitely a race look.

But I just read the Power Boat article on Killer V's 28" Bullet and it ran 101 MPH again MPH and the temp was 101 degree heat not that dumb Canadian way of measurements. I'd say not to bad even if it is a V you can't hold that against him. Now before you start picking on me and how fast my boat goes and what kind I own. I'll say this, their boats go faster in reverse than mine goes forward but don't have me crank up stereo on their asses!!!!! idea

RD RD, believe it or not we are all pretty good friends. We just all have a little summer fever brewing and can't wait to the end of March/April to start bagging on each other at Havasu. You think this is comical you should see us at the lake. The guy actual has a Skater but the part about gas is news to me but anything is possible. We could fill up these boards with stories that would just make you cry with laughter and that's only my contributions to the stories. I just puchased a "87" pontoon boat with a 70 horsepower outboard motor.Iwas thinking of taking it off and putting a V8 motor or possibly a V6 if there is any way to do that. Hey guy's,how are you? I got on this site because it sounds like you know what your talking about when it comes to boats. I just puchased a "87" pontoon boat with a 70 horsepower outboard motor.Iwas thinking of taking it off and putting a V8 motor or possibly a V6 if there is any way to do that. I'm 37 and this is my first boat,and pretty much will be my first time boating. Any suggestions. please write back. If this summer goes good I hope to get a used eliminator(i heard there on of the best boats on the market) or an Htm. please help with my decision. :) :confused: Stick with the pontoon and hang 2 x 300x's on it... good luck

It's fine that you wanted to chime in here and sling some shit, but you just happened to pick on me, which normally I wouldn't mind, however I don't even know you. I've just heard rumors that you like to trash talk me, so I would have to assume that somewhere down the line I have offended you. WHAT EVER!!! As for my ugly interior, I would have to agree, that is exactly why it got replaced the day I brought the boat home. So when you saw it, I have no idea. And like they say, if you're going to dream, dream big, because I don't think you have a snow balls chance in hell in beating me. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. What Killer Vee has to do with this, I have no idea?

Just got home from the boat show for the second time. I guess I am turning into a boat dork again, as summer is almost here. I know that you guys probably saw way cooler boats in Miami, but there are three pretty cool boats to check out at the LA show. There is the 36' Skater Liquid Metal, a Skater V-bottom (which I'm sure that you will appreciate), and a 39' MTI. After going to the show, I kinda got the fever, so I may head up to Havasu this weekend and work on my wreck.
