We are going to Mojave next weekend (Sun, Mon, Tues) any pointers on where to go or not go? Sights worth seeing? We are launching at Katherines on Sun, Mon and going to Hoover from Cottonwood on Tuesday. Katherines areas would be good to know about. Thanks, Nick

I just got back from checking on my boat in the slip. Dry there but at my house we had a 1 hour downpour, strong winds and lots of lightning. One of the hardest rains I have seen here yet. They cancelled the fireworks show at the AVI. While down at KL the boats trying to get in with the winds were sounding like a friggin' race or something. There was a huge Cigarette that took at least a 1/2 hour to get their boat on the trailer. People clapped when they finally go it on.
Hope everybody was alright. That storm seemd to be heading smack into Havasu.

Nick, Katherines sucks ass. Get there before 7AM Sunday to launch or you will be in line for at least an hour. Try to get a slip for Monday and Tuesday if you can. Probably won't be able to get one for Sunday.
I won't go there anymore on the weekends. The marina is just too crowded. its a great lake though. You guys will have fun once you are on the water.
