I noticed this past weekend that some of the big power boats that pull out of the water are starting them up like the old sealed block jet boats to clean them out. Something tells me this can't be good!!!! Am I right?

KPM makes "run dry" pumps that supposedly won't be hurt by starting them without water.
However, I have them, and won't do that. Hell, why run it dry when you have to flush them anyway?
