I'm told it's possible with small blocks, but I don't think it's been done... The transom and tunnels also need to be able to accomodate the 2 drives... My DCB F-29 has a very deep transom and allows plenty of room to fit 2 BigBlocks under the "flat" hatch...what would be sick would be twin quad rotors with fuel injection, cause that would fit under the hatch too!! talk about a 150 mph sleeper wink let me know if I am wrong about any Force 29's out there with twins, I'd be curious to look at that set up and compare #'s

I've talked to Dano a couple times about this - and I believe there has been talk, but not sure if any have been done. You would have to have the fuel tanks moved forward to fit twins, but a couple whipple small blocks would definately be bad ass, and I know its something that Dano and the Force team want to do. If and when one is built you will know- it will be in every magazine.

I know that the Carrera 29 can fit twin small blocks. They just completed the first one with twin Scorpions, but I do not know how it runs. Hopefully we will know soon.

Talked to dennis at carrera he says it handels great, but he stills needs to play with drive height this is the first 29 with twins so it is going to take some tweeking he is expecting an honest 100mph with twin small blocks no blowers he said he could put big blocks in as well still have to measure but he said it would be close

I know that the Carrera and the Force 29's have the same bottom. They both came from identical molds, however the main difference is the deck. I do not know if the Force deck will allow the motors to be pushed out far enough to accomodate the exhaust for the twins. I looked into doing twin small blocks in the Carrera 25, but the deck wouldn't allow for twins. The bottom of the 25 is the same as the 29, just 4' shorter. On the 25 you could not push the motors far enough out to make them work. However the deck on the 29 Carrera was made to fit twins.

can either on e eliminate the center pod for the twins ??

why ? you will not create any more lift with this style of cat. sponson design etc.

Cat, it wouldn't be a benefit. The motors have to be over the outside sponsons so eliminating the center sponson will do no good. On a deep V you want the motors together at the lowest poing in the boat, in a cat you want them as far outside as possible. The motors are well outside of the center sponson. Therefore eliminating the sponson would do no good.

The scorpions look awesome in that boat. I was really impressed when I saw the twin engines in that thing and it still had some room in the engine compartment. I definitely want to take that thing for a ride when it is all dialed in. Maybe stepping into a 29 if the 32 is not ready!

I know you are a carrera boy and all wink but have you thought about a DCB F-29?? Great boat if you want to get into twins...plenty of room for 2 BBC, very efficient and drive like a dream....just a thought

Charlie, I would love one of the F-29's but there is a problem. I build all of my own stuff. I talked to Dave a while back to see about one of the F-26's, and he said that there is no way that he would let one out of the shop without being completely rigged. I know that they do awesome work, but I like knowing where everything is and how it is put together. They do a beautiful job and it is nothing against their craftsmanship, but I like to do my own stuff. Additionally, I am sure that the price of the hull alone, if Dave would sell one, would be way out of my price range. When I talked to Carrera last week, they said that they are planing on having their 32' cat out in Febuary or March. If the 32 is out, that is what I think that I am going to go with.
Charlie, are you going to be around Parker this weekend for the festivities? If so, I would definitely like to check out your ride!

Unfortunately it isn't looking good for this weekend, but maybe sometime soon before the year is over. I can understand where you are coming from with your situation..... If I was a Rigger thats the route I would go too! oh well!

Oh well. I have seen your boat in both ***boat and Powerboat and you must be very proud. Your boat is an amazing piece. Some time, if we ever meet up, I would like to see it. I know from personal experiences that pictures do no justice. I can only imagine how that thing is in person from what I have seen in pictures.

Thank you for the kind words.... I will say it again DCB and Dave in particular truly did right by me. No one manufacturer has the ability to make everyone happy but DCB was/is a nice fit for me and the Guest Family I'm glad Carerra has done right by you. It's all about having a good time on the water right? wink :D

As long as you are having fun it is all good. No matter who built the boat.
