Garret's boat is only fast when... Oh wait, its never been fast...:D
BTW, Garret, that's what a Liberty looks like with a "real" blower motor...

That looks sharp, it is weird to see Randys old boat with a blower motor. I would say it is going to be faster, but he had a very stout N/A motor before, so who knows...

NUTHIN

I think i like the new 1071 that garret has on his better.Plust the new mill that it sits on.But i guess that you would have to go to the river to see it so that would explain why you didnt know any better. :)

NUTHIN

I am not sure of all the details on his motor but i know its fairly small cid like 468.He is running merlin heads and a decent cam i believe over .700 lift and around .280 @ 50.The boat is setup pretty mild as far as set up goes and will run 95-96 all day long but rumor has it there will be a few changes here pretty soon.I am sure he will chime in here pretty soon and be more helpful than i am though.Good luck with the new boat.

The times you saw it had a BONE STOCK & TIRED (15plus years) 454 in the thing, Then he knew it was time to re-build, so he just slammed a baby blower on it and cranked up the boost ran it in the mid 80's, and it still didn't blow up. He is now on a newer motor, with a brand new 1071, If you still had your setup randy and ran him you would be seeing teak swinsteps in front of you (an anchor, a cooler, and maybe even a tube in tow). Heard if he throws it on e-bay he will get 40 percent more horsepower, and another 30 mph on the big end.

I doubt that... it took a little more then a 1071 on a 468 to get past me when I ran the Liberty. Its ok though, I will run him in the CP when its done, and then you can post "well, if you didn't have a gullwing he would have passed you...) :rollside:

I didn't know we had to dislike each other. I have always liked Garrets boat, its a Liberty and his is the first I have ever seen with a blower motor. I have no beef with anyone...
Thanks!

boat is solid.. big difference in stearing a jet compared to a flat..!!
they definantly hadle the chop WAY BETTER!! it was wierd having more then 2 people in the boat.. got up to 5500rpm was ready to mash it and realized some oil issues and backed off the gas. time for new valve covers, and back at it again.. fun for sure.

Glad you like it... and for a v-bottom hull, I would have to say the Liberty handles the chop best.... :rollside:

glad you finally got it out and had a little fun with it. The only thing is you have a long way to go before you can catch up to that 130 mph Hawaiin :D
