Rich, did you see my new Racepumps pump at CFW? It's great...flows more than I'll ever need, compact, light, cool design...and no bi-pass necessary. Call me if you want more info.

those racepumps are cool. But at the end of the day both it and a Clay Smith will flow more then you will ever need. But you will have around 100 bucks left in your pocket if you go with the Clay Smith.
By-pass regulators are just a choice but if you think about it. No one used them for a long long time and got by just fine.
I do think the racepumps take less hp to if that little bit (couldn't be much) would matter then that's the way to go.

Still like the mechanical with a plain ole injector bypass, plain simple and reliable!.. :)

a good quality mech is all you need.....But i run a www.producteng.com.460 model with bypass :rollside: :220v: :boxed:
............i dont know why...my boat maybe runs in the 10's...MAYBE!

I fed two dominators with an over the counter holley mechanical pump! Never a problem. just my .02
