Let me first thank cstraub69. The cam and heads work great.
I have had the boat out several times making some moderate passes and lots of set up changes. Well this weekend I mustered up the courage to plant my foot in it. Motor pulled the 9.25 American turbine impeller to 5800. I have some cavitation issues to resolve that seem to be speed related.

Canuck1.
I have been looking at putting another boat together. I would like to have a 19 foot tunnel built just for drag racing. Help show the tin benders can run with everything. Most people fail to realize that the tin boats progress much faster than mold built hulls as whats learned saturday can be applied monday in a new hull. If you have a extra hull laying around I have a big motor ready for it.
Jak,
The impeller is a 9.25 uncut. I thinned and detailed it. I have not cut it down as of yet. I figure I will need to go down some on the cut to get the motor to my target of 6100. I do not have an impeller chart that lists the cut size for the 9.25 and 9.5 AMT impellers. The power is mid 800 on the motor.

Berk,
I have drooled over you boat on several occasions. I realy like the use of metal finishing complimenting the paint. vary nice boat. I want to have one built with about eight to ten inches taken out of thr thickness. (Lower frontal area) and not needing the added free board.
Canuck1,
Over winter I set the pump back 4 more inches added a ride plate with a drop thru skeg in it. On the hull I put two small lifting stakes on the bow entry to help it keep from dropping the nose as deep on shut down. My first few trips were testing the shut down. The top end is predictable at this point and the shut down is well boring. It has been a fun project and I have learned a ton.

Bottom Feeder,
you may want to re-think your request about wanting a tunnel with less frontal freeboard. that frontal area is where these tunnel get most of thier lift from.

If you would like to expand I am all ears. Just so we are on the same page you are talking of these right? Any input via the boards or private message would be great.

Hey BF, I'm guessing you know that is, or at least was, Terry's boat? He's the owner, or at least partial owner of Outlaw/Eagle now. That boat is beautiful up close. I haven't seen too many boats rigged that nicely and run that hard. He's also one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. At the world's, he helped tune my crap shack boat which probably isn't worth as much as his paint job. He spent hours trying to get my boat going. A little off topic, but its late-Aluminum Squirt

yes BF i am talking about eagle tunnels. the front bow flair is very important in making these hulls fly. if you were to eliminate some of this area the hull may not lift at speed and give the ride attitiude that u usually see. in the 1999 Worlds Joel Sheppard's tunnel had lowered nose but he also had a large wing on the transom.
