A hot rod should get red steelies with wide whitewall bias plies, a 51 Merc should have moon discs or 59 olds hubcaps, a muscle car should have torq thrusts with redline polyglas. And by the same token a mid 80's car with a vinyl top should be running 100 spokes.

Hey Robert. Work has been going alright. ThingI miss about school is the ability to sleep in once in a while. I typically am up by 5:30am these days. Having a bit of money has been nice. I've been able to buy a lot of the smaller items I've been putting off all through college (new bicycle, car stereo, 20 ton shop press, digital camera, etc). I need to move into a place with a garage. I brought up my Trans Am for a week. I had arranged to rent a garage from a friend, but when I saw the garage, I decided it wasn't secure enough, so I ended up taking my car home as soon as I could. I'm going to start working on my ranger soon, thats why i needed to buy myself this winter beater. I finally have a vehicle my r/c plane fits in so that works well. I don't remember if I told you before or not, but I am working for Case New Holland doing design work on their next generation combine. Fairly low priority stuff like the grain tank and the feeder house adapter, but thats to be expected right out of school. So far I have used 0 of my schooling, I had to pick it all up the first month of work.
I started working on the 50 Studebaker about a month or so. I'm looking forward to Christmas when I can really dig into it. I doubt I will be down south anytime soon. Sure would be fun though. Find me a killer deal on a boat and maybe I'll have to bring the old LTD down and tow it back :p

I hope to buy some tonight. This guy has a set of 3-bars still new in box. These wheels haven't been made since the early 80's, so there aren't many spinners left in good condition. I know he wants $195 (found them in a classified ad on a different site), and expect his reserve is much the same. I might go up to $120, but I really don't care if I don't get them since my other centercaps were new as well (but I would prefer the 3 bar).

That is a VG30DE-TT (300zx Twin Turbo Motor). All the exhaust is there inside the car and exits out the single on the pass side door. The car is definitely no cruiser any longer and hot as a bitch on the inside I bet. Who knows how long it takes to spool, the guy is just finishing up the tuning on it, something about rough idle. It is one hacked up ride, thats for sure...but definately a sleeper.

Naw, the girl I lost the bet to just left for Australia this weekend. Got fed up with university and decided to take off for a year. We hadn't had much to do with each other for a couple years now. So I started hanging out with her best friend.

Naw, the girl I lost the bet to just left for Australia this weekend. Got fed up with university and decided to take off for a year. We hadn't had much to do with each other for a couple years now. So I started hanging out with her best friend.
I didn't grow the hair out... wore it for 2 days. The picture was the first day. the second day i shaved the beard off and spiked the top and called it "the statue of liberty". Other names included "the sunflower", "infinite sideburn", "perpendicular mohawk", "wartime bandage" and such. Then I shaved it and went bald headed like Donald for a while.
Not too sure what's up with the girl in the basement. Her crapalier has been gone for 3 days now. She's 32 and I'm 23 though.... so she's too old anyways.
Did she teach you anything....................other than not to take bets w/ chicks.

She taught me that young girls don't like taxidermy. She really didn't like my badger and great horned owl in my bedroom. She also taught me girls don't like it when you get with their best friends, but that was more of a refresher course review... not exactly being taught something new.

I am afraid it is no longer in taco cart mode, and has been converted back to a taxi :p . Complete with grip tires on the rear and a quilted vinyl winter front over the grille.
Haven't been on the boards much since I've been working about 60hrs a week the last while. And when I have been home I have been looking up info on SBF build-ups for my "waste of money" Ranger project. Torn between a 347 stroker flat tappet motor, or a 302 roller cam, and whether to use AFR 165cc heads or Trick Flow Twisted Wedge. If all goes well I should annoying neighbors early next spring :cool:
