I don't want to start a fight here, but why not BarryGrant stuff over Holley? Every time I try, I find BG and Demon stuff WAY better right out of the box than Holley.

Looks nice, but why the Demon's ? over a Holley ?
Good Question..Not Sure, I have heard a good reputation with the Barry Grant Demon stuff. Just by reputation, I hear they flow better and work just as good, if not better than the holley's. $$$ Yes a little more...

A great out of the box carb for a blown motor is a Holley #8082 1050cfm Dominator.Put a pair on my old motor. No special mods.Just some jets and power valve changes.

Motor looks good.
This last weekend valley screens on my motor stopped a couple of large peices of rocker arm from going into the crank & probably causing havoc. Just a little suggestion.

Looks great  I would put valley screens in though, could be a life saver down the road!.. And I'd put a hat on it myself!. Oops, probably shouldn't have said that!.. :hammerhea :D

I've had the opposite, once on my cruiser and another motor. I am surprised by the problems common to the race demon. There are a few compensation 'tricks' that are well known to try and correct them, i.e. turning up the float levels and etc. For the daycruiser the Holley performed better out of the box. But many swear by them.
Corleone, you should run an EFI bugcatcher on that!! :)
