What is the easiest way to seperate the manifold from the riser (snail shell)??? I am trying to seperate them to replace the gaskets and the damb thing seems frozen together... I have liquid wrenched the crap out of it..... but I think it is the old gasket that does not wanna let go..... any tricks would helkp me from frustration HELL! thanks

I just seperated mine to have them coated.
One of them came right off and the other took a little persuasion from a soft-faced dead blow hammer. I hit the top of the "snail shell" enough to disloge the riser from the manifold and then used a small pry bar (carefully) to pry them apart.
I would place two of the nuts back on the studs (just a couple of thread to keep the riser from launching when it comes dislodged) and then give it a pretty good smack with a mallet or dead blow.
Hope this helps.

Definatatly use a rubber mallet on all sides . Beat anything long enough and it'll give.
