Do you already have thru transom exhaust or is it the y-tube through the hub?

I'll have to check. It's all factory stock.

Do you have exhaust tips coming out the back of the transom under the swim step?

No. I don't think there's any tips. Is there headers made for these?

Merc recommends thru hull on any mag motor. You have thru hull.

Thru transom was an OPTION at least on Coile's.

Yes, and since you are starting from scratch, I would recommend the CMI E-tops and they will make the down tubes to match where you cut the tips in. These are all stainless steel and will last forever. Lightenings and other steel tube will not last as long no matter what they tell you. I have been through a couple sets in different boats, they start to rust. I will only buy SS from now on.

There's a set of stainless on Ebay. Would these work? are they just cast iron manifolds and SS tubes?

I really like the CMI E-tops. Spendy but probably well worth it. My exhaustr is thrugh the transom.

I went with Imco powerflows. Love them. Didn't gain really much top end but it did drastically improve planing time and accleration. I could use a bigger prop now though cause I did gain some RPM on the top end.

Thanks everyone for the input. I'm going with the CMI E-tops. They seem the best choice for my cole.
