Sorry to hear that you just Bought the boat and next thing it looses a rod! That would suck :mad:
Are you going to keep that same power plant? :confused: I would also recomend a jet conversion kit
from HI TECH marine .That alone will add 4-6 mph to your boat :)

Same thing happened to me last year when I bought my boat (455). Third time out she was knocking on #7 and 8. I learned quickly that these engines are not made to be run at full throttle for extended periods of time uless modifications have been made internally.
