Ok lets say im looking at a DCB mach 26 with twin 300x's . Im 31 yrs old, Clean driving record, No accidents ever. How much am I looking at to insure this boat? Would an inboard blown single be cheaper? Im really thinking about an "upgrade" mext year but the insurance deal really scares me away from it. The DCB would be my 1st choice but are other manufactures boats cheaper to insure? Or do they strictly go buy size and speed?

From what I have been told recently, its all about replacement cost and size verus speed. insurance for either the twin 300x's or a blown I/O are going to be very close.

I pay $2400 no layup mach26 300x's. I can assure you upon renewal next year (january) that that premium is going to go up...good luck

Greg @ Worldwide...I know Charley got his ins. through Greg also and was the lowest he could find...He was by far the lowest I could find also...Sorry though, all my ins. stuff is in the boat, so I don't have the # handy. Maybe someone else has it?

Greg at Worldwide's number is 1-800-339-1235. I called him and just about every other insurance company in the country trying to find insurance for my 25' tunnel. Tunnel hull boats less than 28' in length, with speed capability above 100 mph are difficult to find insurance. Once you go to 120 mph, I found only one insurance company in the world that would offer me insurance. That was Alliance Marine with Lloyds of London as the underwriter. Quoted cost was $3,595 with a 5 month lay-up and a $110K agreed value. OUCH!!!! eek!

no, I do not have my boat ins. with them, but after having my home ins. with them for 12 years and not one claim, they canceled my policy with no explanation, just a letter telling me I have 60 days to find another carrier...bastards
