Crane XR-1 Ignition Conversion

Has anyone used the Crane electronic ignition conversion?? What do you think? Is it worth it or should I just save up for the MSD?? Thanks in advance. :) GJ

I ran one on my last boat and it ran flawless. I used a msd 6al box and never had an issue. Its easy to install and is cheap. Go for it, you wont regret it;)

Excellent system. When Crane got into the ignition stuff they did their homework and hired some top notch guys. You won't be sorry. We retro fitted a buddies '89 Nautique with the recommended system and he loves it.

Before you spend the money to retrofit your distributor make sure there is no oil coming out the shaft under the cap and the shaft bushings have no play.If your distributor is in good condition then go for it.
