View Full Version : How do I change Impellars????

I have a Neovane in my Schiada. I discovered it is shot. How do I get the old one off? I see a pin it sets on. I thought it just sat on the pin, I tried to pry it off with my favorite tool the Screwdriver.... :D But not having any luck.HELP

Knock the pin out. Use my favorite tool, the hammer. :D There should be a new one included with the new impeller kit.

It just pushes thru the shaft?

Yep. Use a punch and tap it out.

I have never got a new hammer with an Impeller kit :confused: Where do you buy your impeller kits? I sure could use a new hammer! wink
Seriously, Aren't those pins tapered, so that you have to drive them out from the small end?

No, they are knurled so they stay in the rubber, but they are not tapered.
