nice thing about this boat is that the engine is actually made to be on a boat!

Yeah, but GM built it first to go in a truck. :)

Hey, If it runs and keep the old lady happy, do it! If you buy another runner then if you break down you'll get the "I can't believe both boats don't work"
Also something to be said for having more room to haul all the crap, coolers, easy up etc. You can use it as a barge.
Come on guys, don't hate, help him keep his old lady happy, you know how the saying goes :)

I'm no expert but Checkmate did use the name "Enhancer".
Looks like a nice boat for the right price and if the wood is not rotted in the hull. Up at my lake, there was a really sweet late 70's CeeBee Avenger that was clearly a modified version of an old "bubbledeck" jetboat hull that also was produced to carry a 150 outboard. The guy uses every year with his 2 kids & wife, lots of skiiing and tubing.
If you surf the Ebay Motors section for a while with the searchword "speedboat" those come up ALOT for very nice prices.

How much HP and what speed do you expect from that thing?
It is a pretty good looking boat, trailer looks worth something by itself.
I just wonder if you would be disappointed with the performance after
driving your jet or not?

ahhhh now I get it. The wifey wants a support boat to mix her margaritas. Isn't that kind of big for a margarita mixer? Hmmmm, a sit down blender who'da thunk of that?

200 Johnson and really dont care about performance out of this thing. I need something to haul my family around in and for $2000.00 I could buy this then flip it for more than 2thou if I dont like it. I think its a good looking boat in good cond. with the write price. Seating capacity is 10 or 1700#s, holy shit.. party boat.

I like how they have the motor backed over the lawn like they are going to use that "wacka" to trim things up around there lol... :)

That is a Checkmate Enchanter. That hull actually won the Havasu Classic race (production V-hull) back in the day.
