Picked mine up from Home Depot. They are not too expensive.
I also use 2 liter bottles with tops cut off to make block ice for the boat cooler. Works great.

i'd hit up craigslist....theres always decent used stuff on there....since its just a garge unit....it doesnt need to be anything fancy, right?

Got mine at Home Depot. Holds about 12 1 gallon bags of ice. Then I make more.

It's the simple things like this that are so genius in life. Thanks for the tip.

Home Depot, and sometimes COSTCO have them at reasonable cost.
Nice little units.

Try Fred Bush Auctioneers in Corona. I think 2151 E. Sampson (91 & McKinley). They buy all disssolved restaurant fixtures and resell. I've had friends get smoking deals on icemakers, SS fridges, freezers etc. They sell everything from the flatware to the booths. Some nice stuff there for the right prices. Good luck.

Try the Sears outlet in Corona. Get one with a dent and get a 100 or more off.

Leaving for a company incentive trip to Montreal in the morning and will be out next weekend....I'd much rather take the money and not have to go to Canada, but I have no choice....cest la vie

Agree, try craigslist. A co-worker just got a free spa and freezer from there.

Hey Blane, we bought ours at the Maytag store on LHC ave. They had some really fair prices on blemished items. Our fridge still had the manu's warrenty.

i would avoid buying a used one, depending on the age it may not be energy star compliant. i had an older one that was eating me alive when it came to my electric bill.
