Is there a way to check on either of these two things, when you are buying a used boat? Thanks in advance

I saw a boat history service "pop-up" ad when I was on Boat trader today.
Unlike similar automobiles searches, (Related to my former career) I really doubt that interstate agencies like game and fish, MVD and Insurance companies are sharing boat info to the point where you would get reliable peace of mind information. Auto info funnels into larger databases and is shared by software companies that write damage, total losses and theft estimates. In addition the NICB also collects data on Auto thefts and damage estimates. Even then all the auto data being shared and collected it can be hit and miss. So my point is even if you find a servce or someone who can run numbers it's no promise.
