What performance increase (if any) do you all think I could expect by just changing the stock intake manifold on my 455 to a Performer intake?
I have an Edelbrock 1410 carb, stock engine build, Hardin logs.
I have a covered engine compartment and am not going racing but would like to do any simple bolt-on things I can do to get that little extra out of it, this seemed like it might be one. Waddaya think?

I've always been told the Edelbrock Performer RPM Air Gap is the way to go with a lower rpm stock application. But, I'm no expert.
I was told it could be worth up to 25 hp on my 502 though.

They don't make a RPM air gap for the 455, so that's out.
I have just swapped the stock manifold and Q-jet on my 455 for a Performer manifold and carb. Haven't run the boat yet, but I'll be glad to let you know in two weeks or so how it works.
