just got my new boat a 1996 eliminator DCB 22daytona with a 1999 300 promax, got a killer deal too $25,000!!!. i had it out yesterday and cracked 82mph on the first trip out. love the boat, will never go back to a v-hull after driving a tunnel.

Right on. Did you get the prop drilled in time? I'd recommend a GPS Speedo...I assume yours has the liquid filled?

yep i got the prop drilled with 1" holes,gets and ok holeshot.. yah my speedo is liquid filled, but i got a hand help gps...soon to get a gps speedo though.

It's a outboard thing...The best all around prop for these tunnels are standard Bravo's, and as you may know, the OB's have thru hub exhaust. So in essence, since the Bravo 1 props are LARGE hubs, they cover the exhaust ports. So if no holes are drilled in the prop, there is NO relief for the exhaust. This equals horrible performance. Make sense??

If you're running 82 MPH GPS right now, I'd say the boat is DIALED IN. Those are great numbers...You should be very happy.

yah i'm pretty happy with those numbers, i had my dad with me and half tanks of fuel. so i figure with four people still might be able to touch 80. what are some quick easy and cheaper mods i could do to this motor?

Mods for a 300PM...Contact Eric Simon from Simon MotorSports out of the San Diego Area. He's the MAN when it comes to 300's. I had some minor work done to my old 300 and I was very impressed.
By any chance, are you gonna take the boat out to Havasu this coming weekend?
