My wife is a Vet. Tech. and she has always worned me about these dogs. I have always wanted one myself. I asked two of the doctors that she works with about them and they both said they are nothing but problems. These doctors are some of the best in the state and one of them owns two clinics so they are trustworthy. If you want a list of the problems they can have let me know and I will get it for you.

I've also heard the same thing. I would get dog insurance to help with the medical bills. Bitchen dogs though....

http://www.***boat.com/image_center/data/500/2056Bunki_on_guard-1.jpg Mine loves the heat here in Havasu, True to the rumor he can't swim. Low fat % and restricted movement due to mass. He has made the pool more his personal dawg watering hole. He has had only one health issue a growth on his ear as a pup. The growth was removed and he has been fine ever since. He has been the best dog / friend I have ever known. He is also very smart and does a lot of tricks and works on hand signals. In all fairness his mom and I spent alot of time with him for we had no kids........I almost lost him a month ago or so when he attacked a scorpion and was stung in the neck! He is fine now and I would recomend the breed to anyone with small children. Truth is Find a good breeder not a puppy-mill. Expect to pay for quality! Go get a book or do research online. ( The English Bulldog was the right choice for me).

i have a 2 year old white bulldog. in my opinion they are the best dogs in the world. They have the best personality, the whole demeanor of the dog is great, no matter what the dog is doing if you look at it for a second they will make you laugh or smile. They will sleep all day if you let them and when you come home from work and just want to relax on the couch the will hop up on your lap and watch t.v with you. As far as the problems they have i have an all white bulldog with no pigment on his eyelids( very easy to get eye infections) but we throw sunscreen on him if we are going to be outside all day make sure he gets shade and havent had one problem with his eyes. the only problem we have had with him is when we moved to our new house we were giving him baths and not completely drying him and the dry air gave him a skin infection. That was are fault and hasnt had a problem since then. I love our dog i consider it like it was our first kid, and i have never been this close to an animal, i would love to have another one but the wife wont let me cause we actually have our first baby on the way. I wish i could figure out how to put pics up on this site i have a ton. Good luck.

We have some English Bulldogs. It's the only dog I'll ever own. Great with kids. Anybody that has paid a visit to Ultra knows that there will always be one or two or more of them running around here. They usually greet each customer at the door. I'll post some pictures when I get a chance. I haven't had any real issues with health. Make sure you get it from a reputable breeder. I'll find the number for the breeder we get ours from. Be prepared to spend $2,000 on the low side and $4,500 on the high side.

My boy Winston is three and a half years old. The only problem we have had is finding him the right food, he was getting constipated alot. Once we dialed it in, he has been great. They are awsome dogs, super loving and loyal.

Yes I have a Gargoyle Bulldog that was posted in BK's link.
My littel girl is out of Black Omen on that website. Her tempermant is great! I couldnt have asked for a better minded dog.
The Renascence Bulldog is a recreation of the more larger physical functional athletic working bulldogg that existed from 1820 to 1900
There is a very nice litter on the ground
located here out of my friend Troys litter. (http://titanbulldogs.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=18&Itemid=30)
If your interested let me know Ill forward his info.

FREIND OF AA AND TA

I have had two and they are big money in vet bills. Lets put it this way. My last one dyed before her first birthday from cancer and had all kinds of problems. She was from a rep breeder and I had about 20 grand into her. They are awesome but dye fast. Get an Olde English. They don't have nearly as many probs and are way tuffer. I now have a french and and american. Great dogs!!

No reason at all other than my female was available before a certain litter was available to get my male out of. If all works out, I should be receiving my male in about 4 weeks.

What a mug!!
We had them when I was in the Marines.
Teriffic dogs.
We'd be out in the sticks,, and a heard of sheep was around,, they'd want to heard them.
I've been told first dogs with brindle stripes, dates way way back.
All brindles breeds date back to them.

I've had my bulldog for quite a long time. He's turning nine this year. He's had absolutely no health problems except for a few minor things such as almost ripping a nail off from an accident. He's the best damn dog I've ever had. He's quiet, (very couch potato-ish), and is awesome with small children.
I will definitely get another one.

All males here. We haven't had any real problems with the pissing thing. The only time they ever piss where they shouldn't is when another dog has hit it first. When we go to the desert, if another dog in the camp pees on something they mark it too, but that's about it. Ours have been real easy to house break.
Don't forget, they cannot swim. AT ALL. For some reason Auggie can and he loves it, but he is a very rare exception to the rule.

Gorgeous bunch of dogs!
We almost got a Bull dog a year ago. We did alot of research and almost everyone we ran into with one stated they had well more than the cost of the dog into medical bills.
My neighbor had a beautiful male and within a year it had 3-4K worth of eye and skin troubles.
With that being said we decided to pass because I can't affford to spend that kind of coin on a pet.(I would if I had too)
After alot more research we decided on a Boston Terrier. They have alot of the same traits as Bull Dogs (Great with people, kids, pets, etc and have a 10+ personality...)We liked the fact that they were a little smaller and more athletic.
Our little brindle female swims like a fish

thanks, they're like the yin and yang of dogs. Little, hi-energy ballistic, out of bounds dog, and then the big huge laid back pooch that tolerates her. Quite amusing to watch them play!
We call them the two-potato sack, and the fifty-potato sack.
