What are you guys using for 2 stroke oil (synthetic)in your hi-perf clamp ons?
I've been using Klotz KL-333 for about 10 years now but damn it's getting expensive, I just ordered a case of gallons (4) and it was $175.00 freakin bucks!
There has to be something out there that's just as good for less than an arm and a leg.
Four gallons doesnt last very long in my Drags:220v:

I haven't had to buy any thus far, but I'll be looking soon. When I bought the boat it came with Merc Racing's Performance Plus...I was told to run this by several engine guys. Not sure on the price, bu I know it's around $50/gallon.

Any Merc dealer. Try Drew at Boatmasters. For the best price, see if any local shops have it in the drum - that's the cheapest. Just buy it buy the gallon out of a drum.

I've recently switched to Amzoil. It's the only high-perf synthetic available in my area and a local mini-mart type store is carrying it cheap. I'm pretty sure they don't know what it is... but that's OK with me. :D

Klotz KL-333. I bought a case last year from a dealer in TN for about $108.00 to my door. I will look for my receipt tomorrow at work (my boat file is there) and post the name and number of the dealer.

It looks like the KL-333 has been discontinued.

Amsoil? I have used it for 10+ yrs in my dirt bikes (CR125 & 500). @ 100:1 which scared the schit out of me, top end always looks good. most important, no problems. Not sure about the O/B but water cooled MX'r can't be any easier.....

Tom, I just received a case of kl-333 directly from Klotz last Thursday so its still available but I found it much cheaper online and I will be buying it from them next order.
I read on scream&fly that a lot of guys are using Pennzoil full synthetic with NO problems, but I can't find it here in the Portland area. They all say they buy it at wal-mart for cheap.
I'm not looking for the cheapest but Its just that $43.75 a gal is crazy for the Klotz!
