Those pics put a knot in my gut. That whole situation was so fukked up, where do you start?
What's going on with the rebuild?
I recall the design contests for the site rebuild but I've heard nothing since.

WOW JBB. How many have forgotten? These pics should be on the news daily. We are such a minute by minute society. Thanks for the reminder.

Thanks Jbb! An unforgetable reminder of what happened that day. As a person who was working in Manhattan on that I have many photos from that day and the following days. Every so often I take the time to look at the pictures and remember the friends I lost. It's also a reminder of what our brave men and women are fighting for.
God Speed!

Absolutely nauseating. I remember looking at my 4 month old son and telling him, "Your life has just changed" meaning he'd never know the same security and peace that we knew before 9/11.
Sadly, many are forgetting and this kind of thing WILL happen again. Maybe not on such a grand scale but they will attack again. Damn...

Al-Qaida's No. 2 Leader Threatens Attacks
Published: 7/27/06, 6:45 PM EDT
CAIRO, Egypt (AP) - Al-Qaida's No. 2 leader called Thursday for Muslims to unite in a holy war against Israel and to join the fighting in Lebanon and Gaza until Islam reigns from "Spain to Iraq."
Ayman al-Zawahri's taped message, the first from al-Qaida since Israel began offensives against Hezbollah guerrillas in Lebanon and Hamas militants in the Gaza Strip, was a sweeping recruiting effort that even called on non-Muslims to join the Islamic cause.
Addressing the world's "downtrodden," al-Zawahri said non-Muslims should join Islamic militants in the battle against "tyrannical Western civilization and its leader, America."
That's how much this piece of dogshit remembers. He'd do it again if given half a chance.

Could never forget that day. Being from NY, it hit way too close to home. I didn't watch tv for 2 years after that and will rarely turn on the news anymore. It makes me want to cry again everytime I see that.
God bless all the brave men and women who risked their lives to save the lives of others. Rest in eternal peace for all the heros who didn't survive and all the victims who never had a chance. Burn in hell for the murders involved!
Never Forget!! Thanks for reminding us...

it's WWIII now and that wasn't even the first blow to the US. The first blow came in Lebanon when Hizbullah killed 241 U.S. Marines! (http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/national/1107AP_Mideast_Fighting_Marines_Remember.html) we must never forget and we must be prepared to fight Islamofascists to the death for our freedom.

EVERY terrorist today is a Muslin. I don't know of another religon on this planet that presently supports terrorism.
Islam; they say it's the religon of peace. And some people buy that crap.

I don't post much, especially when politics are involved, but...
I have a shortcut to that website on my computer at work. I look at it all the time just to keep the memory alive of those that did not survive.
While our government has been successful in some areas on the "war on terror" they havent been nearly as successful at bringing those responsible, hiding in the mountains and deserts to justice. Our government, rather our military, need to catch a break and get these knuckleheads BEFORE the Bush administration leaves office. If a demorat is elected they are sure to "cut and run" leaving this action unpunished. I just hope I am wrong...
Just my .02 as a Proud American.

Great pics for a small reminder of why we are at war against these religoius terroists...
what's amazing is how everything was reduced to virtually dust, except for the "skeleton" of the lower section.

I still can't quite comprehend the scale of destruction. As a young person I visited the twin towers and marveled at helicopters flying below us! way below us! Now?
Please notice the U.N. remained untouched because the U.S. is the fortress of capitalism and world power! Peace through strength. always faithful!
