My buddy is missing his niece. Here is a link to the story. If anyone has any info just contact the sheriffs dept. They have been looking for her for a couple of weeks now. Although she may have run away its very unlikely that she would not have contacted her family by now. It very out of the ordinary for her according to the family. Keep your hopes up that this is just a runaway situation and lack of judgement.
Thanks
Deano

Friends/Family -
Jessica is to be a sophomore at Los Alamitos High School next year. While your family may not know Jessica personally, she is a real missing child in our community. I know as a parent, I would want all the help I could get to find my child. Please take a moment to review the following information. You can also print a flyer for posting for others to get this information.
------
On July 12, 2006, Jessica Leach, a 14-year-old girl, went missing in Los Alamitos, California.
Depending on your actions in the next few moments, you could quite literally save Jessica's life.
All I ask is that you:
1. Look at Jessica's profile at http://LinkTiles.com/profile_missing.php?i=NCMC1049070
2. Forward this email to whoever you know, especially people who live in California.
Not every child's family can afford national media coverage. But that doesn't make them any less deserving. By forwarding this message to your network of friends, and they to theirs, 100,000 people could easily find out about Jessica's plight within the next 24 hours.
100,000 people - because of you. Maybe Jessica's life - because of you.
Don't be shy. Don't be worried about looking foolish. We are talking about a child's life here. A child's future.
Please, click a few buttons and pass this on.

PS: If you end up being the one who finds Jessica, please send everyone who has forwarded this message a short note. Each person was equally responsible for getting this message to you. Thanks.

Hello everyone I wanted to come on again and thank everyone for all of your support. We have everyone that we can involved with this case that we can at this time. There is the FBI, OC Sheriff Dept. the center for missing and exploited children. My sister and bro inlaw are just hoping she is using bad judgement and is with someone safe. Right now that is all we can hope for. It has been such a long time since anyone has heard for her that we are all starting to get a little worried. That is all I have to share at this time but when I get something new I will share it with you all.. Thank you all from me and my sisters family.

Just saw on the news last night about a few attempted kidnappings of a couple of 13 year old girls in the Downey area. I hope this is unrelated, and I'm sure the police have told you about this. Story was on ch.4 news at 11 pm, last night. Good luck, and I hope this turns out the best way possible, and she returns home soon and safe.

SANTA ANA, Calif. -- A Los Alamitos teen who left home last month, vowing to stay with friends for two nights after arguing with her father, is back home after being found on a street in Watts, authorities said Tuesday.
Jessica Ann Leach, 14, left home on July 12 with only her bathing suit and a change of clothes and stayed that night and the next with friends, but had not been seen since July 14, said Jim Amormino of the Orange County Sheriff's Department.
The girl was found Monday night by Los Angeles police, returned to Orange County and interviewed by sheriff's officials before being returned to her parents, he said.
There was no immediate word on where she has been for two weeks.
"It appears she was down there on her own accord," Amormino said. "Basically, she was a voluntary runaway. Apparently, she was in good health, she was unhurt."
Los Angeles police Officer Norma Eisenman said Leach was found at 109th Street and Graham Avenue.
"The officer made a stop for curfew, ran her name and it came up as a critical missing," Eisenman said.
The girl, who will be a high school sophomore in the fall, had been corresponding on the Internet site Myspace.com, Amormino said earlier.
Amormino anticipated that no further action by authorities would be taken.
