Dragon crafts are so ugly that they are cool. I had a friend with one in the
late 70's with a 429 Ford and a C-6 trans. It was a great ski boat, I bet we
put a 1000 hours on it water skiing. Every time I see one I remember hours
of fun.

There are two families that come out to Red Rock each year for 5 days during the week that have two of them and pull skiers all day long. SK48 hit it on the head.......they are cool.

Bo Wedge, a local hot boat engine builder originally from SoCal, sez the thing he remembers about D-C's is getting water over the bow and into his lap all the time, then what didn't blow into his lap just sat on the big low spot in the middle of the deck and kinda swished around...until he hit the throttle again and dumped the rest of it into his lap. :rollside:

Dragon crafts are so ugly that they are cool. Took the words right out of my mouth. But it would be a cool to restore one. You know one thing thats cool about the older boats......At least you could tell one hull from the another unlike todays $hit that looks a carbon copy of the next.....BORING!!!!!!!

I"ve had one for 7 yrs great boat handles well its a true flat 71 its fast any boat will put water in your lap i think if we all had boats built alike that would be ugly or boring, find someone like Billy-b to do a custom paint they do look sharp i think all flats are neat but thats my opinion

Just my opinion but, I wouldn't call the Dragoncraft "ugly". It looks more like on innovative try at making a lite-weight low freeboard hull that won't get washed under as easily when used as a lakeboat.
Yeah, I've seen prettier, but if it's a fast hull you won't have time to ogle it anyways.

My post was no joke! I built a blown 410" /392 Hemi and boat complete, for a guy. Duane Burnley, he wrote bad checks to me for a total amount of over $5500.00! His first checks were good, and then it all turned ugly. The boat has a pink pearl with 7 or 8 candy colors of stripes along with lettering and pinstripes. It has a wing and complete hard (SS) tubing plumbing. I put a lot of work in that boat, and I would like to see my money or that SOB watch the thing go down 500 feet to the bottom, before his eyes. I remember those who helped me! I remember those who f^(ked me. "I'm still a happy boater"
