The tunnel hull should be considered a race-only deal for safety reasons. Either the 18 or 19 Gullwing is what you want for the river. There might be some guys running tunnels on the river, but if you want to stay safe and dry, keep with the gullwing models.

So It Would Be A Bad Idea To Look Into The Tunnel If I Wanted To Buld A Saturday Night River Racer, And Maybe Cruise To The Sandbar
Keep In Mind This Wont Be A Boat Used All Day, Would I Want To Look Into It?

Do a search for CP and this subject has been been gone over a lot of times.

sure u could drive it around but the boat grabs really hard when u turn in chop. i mean you could drive anything u want and race anything you want just the cp tunnel was meant to go fast and quick in a straight line.

A CP tunnel will not turn while excellerating and if the motor dies, it will make a hard right turn. I learned from experience. Don't use it for cruising or river racing. Budlight

What is it about the CP 18' tunnel that gives it these ill handling characteristics, where as some other brands of tunnels seem to handle fine?

Just the shape. no sharp edges except for the rear. So under power it doesn't turn well. It was made for drag racing only. BL
