Upper sand bar on the river.. just above Aha Quin. Saturday Labor Day weekend. Sand bar has Plenty of room for a lot of boats and flat water. There will be at least (6) out of Aha for Labor day. Oh.. someone should call Bill! Why dont you handle that Declark!

Mike, not sure about running something like your boat in the cove at AHA, it may be a little sketchy on the shutdown..
I dont see any problem with the parking at Water Wheel,at that time of the day there will be parking for your rig. Is it possible to tow it from L.L. on the dolly trailer?

As far as the raceboat trying to get a few things finished up but, I am planning on bringing it. Lagoon sounds good too! We will be run'n both where we run on the river during the day is really clean. There is a sand bar that spilts the river in two. the right side is perfect for runn'n. Also we dont get the boat traffic you guys get.. its really quit down there. It will all work out... besides I dont think any of use have ever seen this many CP's in one place. Gotta see that!
But I like CS's idea for Sunday. We will all be there for that too.
Get those kids handled!... If you dont find help we can arange something. We'll make it happen.

Dave the only thing that will keep us from making the 80's party is if we can't find a sitter for the kids, but we are working on that. As far as the raceboat trying to get a few things finished up but, I am planning on bringing it. I was thinking that you guys always raced in the lagoon, not all that excited about running it during the day on the river. There is always some traffic coming from somewhere. But I am looking forward to running Tony.

I won't be running any nos on mine, It will only be on the motor. But it sounds like you're gettin serious with a fresh bullet and all. I was down at Keith's today. However, I would like to see some cool boats and tasty friends.... and the river doesnt get any better then the sections from Waterwheel down to Aha and below. Not a lot of boats on the water down there. And by the looks of things a lot of people would like to see this thing happen.
So.... lets do this sh$t!

It needs to be very clear that Aha Quinn the establishment has nothing to do with this gathering.Those of us from Aha that are planning on meeting with our friends have been informed by managment that there shall be no sort of official gathering on the premisses of Aha Quinn. The Gathering will be at the first sand bar up river from Aha Quinn. This Gathering is just like last years 6th st a bunch of river friends meeting on the lower colorado river. Aha Quinn or its tenants are not hosts of this event,nor president,nor promoters.Aha Quinn has no camping,no motor homes on big weekends period, We need to respect all tenants at Aha Quinn.I`m sure there will be a great turn out, sorry to get all serious if you Know me you Know I`m all about having fun. Hope to see all at the sand bar.
Remember twin palms has camping and motor home spots and I know alot of you are staying at other camps on the river. Blythe is only 19 miles away there are hotels you can stay at. I hope as we get closer others will start to post on where else there is places to stay.

Damn straight race boat chit. Everyone is going full top fuel now with like 1500 HP so i gotta tweak on the hardware a little more to try and hang with the fuel boys. Dont go acting like your a river boat now with that injector hat on alky..Single carb=river boat. :)
Im actually just planning on doing a shakedown ,I had the boat torn down pretty far and just want to make sure Im dialed for the weekend.Water will be perfect at Ranchos. Call me if you want to hang out down there, Ive got all sorts of hardware too if you want to try anything.Thurs and Friday will be insane, perfect for testing.

Well, it looks like I may have to sit this one out, as well. I'm waiting on a part that's been backordered, it seems, and without it, I'm dead...not in the water.
Maybe some one can help. I have to switch to a top/rear mount starter, and I need the mount that mounts the starter to the rear motor plate. AFAI know, MPD is the only place to get this adapter/mount, and like I said, I'm told they're still waiting on a shipment, so if anyone has one of these little jewels, I'd be real greatful if you could let it go my way. I'd be happy to replace it as soon as MPD gets theirs in, or just buy it outright. Otherwise, I'm stuck. Boat's ready, I'm ready, but last time I tried, bump starting just wasn't going to get it. I really would like to make the journey down to PT3/ The CP regatta next weekend...been looking forward to it all summer.
