I guess, but it's a disservice to racers and fans to put out a bogus schedule knowing that most have to make vacation plans only to have the race dates changed after the banquet!

Nice AND Inexpensive in Waco????? I stayed in the Motel 6 (about 3 miles south of the river down I-35) last year (twice) and it was like $99.00 and SUCKED!
I've heard good things about the motel that's right down the road from the track (I-35 & MLK) .... I don't remember the name,,,,,,
But really,, WACO seems to be growing so fast,, that there just doesn't seem to be any "Nice Inexpencive" motels there right now!
How about it Cheyenne372,,,,Can you give us the Hook up on some "Nice Inexpencive motels in Waco??? I haven't been able to find one yet!
But at least it's not MF!!!!!!!! LOL!!!

My brother in law, (well, after July 15) lives in an apartment right on the river, about 2 miles from cameron Park, and he said the river is pretty low right now. I'll be staying with him that weekend.

Hey Jay......... We've been keeping it a little quiet but I think the word is pretty much out now. Will probably pick up the hull this weekend. No idea if it came in, weight wise, where we wanted. THE OKC race is Fantastic! :rollside:
There were over 80K spectators over the two day event! And I think we had something like 120+ boats!!!!!

....Hell, I still haven't figured out what they are going to do with me and my trailer at the races this year.......
You know what you'll have to do with it and you know why!
Didn't you see your last newsletter? It specifically states, and I'll quote our leader, "...Bottom line here is the main purpose of a RV is for camping and the main purpose of an enclosed trailer is for storing or transporting a race vehicle..."
In a literal translation, which is what you should take from written words from the leadership, because you don't have a "race vehicle" in your trailer, you are an RV and you get to park with the rest of the Ramp Clutter....like me!...that is IF I was going race!......
You're not a Bubble Boy and don't amount to squat....so you'll have to park it away from the pits....even though you help and support many racers during a weekend!

Might ask El Presidente how come you are still listed as a Director of the Association (through May 2006) and subject to litigation if an unfortunate incident was to happen. Seems their attorney is doing a fine job in keeping things current!

Another thing that very few people realize, all these years and you know how hard I work at the races and the number of boats that I help with, I have never charged anyone a dime, no matter what we were doing.
Thats no lie ! Damn near a line where you set up at . Then when your not there that poor girl had to put a sign that read if you ask where Garrys is it's $1.00 and she would have made good money !

Jay:
First off, in PGJ, you ARE a bracket class now! Using the staggered start and the class record as your dial in makes you a bracket class just like us lowly M/E guys are!
Secondly, in regard to the membership, you should take care of that before Saturday (February 4) because it is at a reduced rate if it is done before the banquet.
2-R's is right, you can do it online, or contact Kenda Reedy at kenda.reedy@rrd.com or sdbapitmom@ev1.net or call (940) 320-4940.

We've been planning this move to PGJ for a while and decided to go through with it, anyway. We'll see where it goes. You knew we'd have to conform to the west coast code of drag boat racing. I know why they've done it, but sometimes the dollar shouldn't necessarily be deciding factor.
