i have aquired a berkeley droop-snoot part #L-3818.
i need to find out what pump this fits.
i have a 12JA pump in my 67 tahiti, it seems like it would bolt on but the steering nozzle does not bolt up. its the same on my 80 sanger super jet & it has a 12JG pump. the steering pattern on the droop only has 6 bolts on it, 3 on each side. do i need different steering assembly to play with it or should i just e-bay it?

It can be like that... lots of views, no response. I am a newbie too.
Is this your part?

Says it replaced the steering assembly. Maybe you have part of the kit and not the whole kit?
Didn't find anything on L-3818 on google or yahoo.
Just trying to help.

It looks a lot longer than a regular droop. What does it measure at?

How come it doesn't have the bolts on the bottom? Isn't that missing a couple?

Per Rick @ CP Performance aka Berkeley.
"The droop you have is from the early 70's and it has ben that long since it was produced. The models it fit was the 12JA and 12JB as the 12JG was yet to exist. the nozzle housing on your bowl should fit the down portion of the droop. These units were replaced by the shorter droops as the long version would drag in the water some."

that explains why there was bondo coverin the whole back half of the snoop. it was there to put less drag eh!
