We left Friday 3am from Cali heading to Oklahoma to pick up a boat. On our way back now. This is one long ass drive but much better now that the wireless is working.
Gotta feed the ***boat addiction! :)

We made the trip from Oklahoma to Corona a few years ago. We left Oklahoma at 7 pm Thursday, in Havasu at noon Friday, and in corona by 3 pm Friday. That is a long drive for sure. We came back through phoenix and went to the IHBA season opener at firebird. Then back to Oklahoma before noon Sunday.
Forgot about the stop at the indian casino some where around Palm Springs. Got way to drunk had to get a hotel. lol

We're looking at about 24 hours drive time from Oklahoma City to Simi Valley, CA. 3 of us splitting the drive time @ 65 mph. Not to bad with 3 people. I think 2 people would be rough.

Have a cousin that lives on Grand Lake. I have not been there yet but heard it's great. Would like to go but dread having to take all the extra days to pull the boat there and back.

Drove over the river on hwy 40 about an hour ago. Only saw 1 boat on the water. River was glass. Wish the boat we're towing was ready to run. Would have been nice to drop it in and cruise down to the Sandbar!

Back in 1969, I left Merced CA at 4:00PM wednesday and pulled into Charleston WV at 4:00PM Sat., driving an Austin-Healy 3000. Long before the interstates.
