In Thompson bay just outside of the LH Marina. There was an Advantage party cat which had 3 or 4 people on it, that was escorted by the Local LE's with their hands in the air to Mudshark beach where they were cuffed and taken away. This happened sometime around 6:00 pm.

Mrs. BoatCop's Mom was widowed last March. We've got to go out there every few weeks to see how she's getting along. And also to do stuff around her place that her she can't do herself and her lazy-ass son (who lives 15 minutes away in Beaumont) can't seem to find the time to do.

Jesus... Guy pulls out a gun for somebody squirting him? This gangsta shit is getting waaayyyy outta hand.
Just out of curiosity though, what did he do that was illegal? I was under the impresison that carrying a gun in AZ so long as it is NOT conceiled was perfectly legal? Not saying that people should carry them, or go brandishing them at the drop of a hat.

Might be legal to carry in AZ but not legal to pull on someone.

Don't know the details of this incident RD but if what is said is true, the illegal part was when he waved or pointed it at the other guy. Don't know about AZ law but in CA, 417 (a)(2) PC Every person who, except in self-defense, in the presence of any other person, draws or exhibits any firearm, whether loaded or unloaded, in a rude, angry, or threatening manner, or who in any
manner, unlawfully uses a firearm in any fight or quarrel is punishable as follows: (A) If the violation occurs in a public place and the firearm is a
pistol, revolver, or other firearm capable of being concealed upon
the person, by imprisonment in a county jail for not less than three
months and not more than one year, by a fine not to exceed one
thousand dollars ($1,000), or by both that fine and imprisonment.

In AZ, recklessly handling or displaying (brandishing) a firearm is a class 6 Felony, under Disorderly Conduct Statutes.
Putting someone in apprehension of serious physical injury or death (pointing a firearm at them) is considered Aggravated Assault, and is a class 3 Felony.

I was thinking the same thing along the lines of RD. I had been told by LE in Sacramento that it is legal to carry a loaded firearm on your boat for self defense purposes....licensed to carry it elsewhere or not. When on the Delta up here you can be in the middle of BFE with nobody around and get boatjacked/robbed/left for dead. Boat owners have the green light to legally carry for defense of such situations was what I was told.
Any truth to this??

Apparently brandished it at the dude that sprayed him.
How else would LE have known there was a gun on the boat?

Again I wasn't trying to say that the guy was within his rights.. Any whack job that pulls a gun in the channel while everyone is having a goodtime should be locked.
Just curious as to what portions of it was illegal aspect.

anyone remember that fight last year on memorial day weekend at the mini sandbar? the guys from "Gardena 13" against everyone else? Now that was pretty crazy. All I remember is this guy had a nice 25 ftr, and the people from garden 13 had a pos "dingy" with about 20 people on it. well they tied off to the guy with the 25 ftr with no bumpers or something, and the guy got pist, and the chicks with gardena 13 started running there mouths or something. And it turned ugly! when the fight was over everyone was cheering, and they got popped pulling out by the LE..it was a great day! Anyone remember this?
