oil pressure

i have a gen v block 11:1 comp.my oil pressure is at 50 at cold start,but by the time i go across the lake it drops to 35 psi running.if i run it hard the oil pressure will be at 35psi running then about 15 psi idealing.after i idle for awhile it comes back up to 35 psi.like i said it is a gen v block so i heard the oil pressure is lower in the blocks.what could be going wrong.

i am running valvoline straight 50 wt.i put a new carb on it that is running abit to fat and the air in phoenix is real hot and dry.could it do anything being to fat.it has had low oil pressure for about to years

A good rule of thumb for the safe minumum oil pressure is 10 psi. per 1000 RPM
