What is wrong with it? Oxidation?

No it just has some black marks on it, not big ones, and it doesn't seem to look as bright as it used to

I don't like th idea of using acetone unless it is a last resort.

Are you talking about the top deck of the boat, or the floor of a deckboat?

I like the magic eraser the best, maybe with some Natures orange or simple green.

the floor
Best bet is some cleaner/soap and a scrub brush. Try not to use anything that would dye the vinyl if it got on it.
If it is in the sun a lot, it is hard to put a product on it because of the texture for protection, so fading does make sense.
If I was trying this, I would spray my Ultra-Ion product on the surface, use a soft bristled brush, follow with a terry towel and buff off. It would make it a little slick though.
I'm not trying to plug my product, that's just how I would try it.
For you, try some basic cleaner with a good brush, and follow ith a terry towel to wipe the excess.

I would think the floor would tear up the Magic Eraser. Maybe, maybe not.

You are right I have tried the magic eraser and it did not work very well.
Are you talking about your vinyl cleaner, I have some of that and the wax

The vinyl cleaner should work actually. Spray it down, and use a brush. It should take off the marks. Follow with a towel to wipe the excess.

Magic told us to use acetone but we never have. we just hose it out often and use a water/simple green solution with a mop for cleaner areas and a scrub brush for the dirty areas.
