I have one nice used one for a Chevy/671. Might fit. Put a piece of cardboard up against the belt and draw a line around it. You can send that to me and see if what I have will fit. I also make some lexan smoke colored covers that you can see the belt and pulley turning through.

No, But I'm on vacation at the lake, so if you'll send me an email address, I'll go down to the dock and take one for you. I have one of them on my boat.

I went down and took some pictures.
They are not very good because of the setting sun in the background. But, you can get the idea.

Lightning also makes one. I just got mine for $300. All polished and ready to mount. You will need to make the mounts from the parts supplied. When I put it back on I'll try to remember to take a picture and post it. I just got the motor started for the first time so I'm sure there will be pictures on here somewhere in the near future.

Not only does he need the cover (like the one shown by HTP) but he also need the piece that sits between the seats. He has one but the blower hits it. The blower pertrudes into the seating area. Are there any good upolstery shops in the 916 that would be able to build a new center peice or modify the one he has?
Here is a pic of the area in question.

He should modify the one he has... It should be easy to do at any boat interior shop.

OK tell me if I'm just F'n crazy or what... My buddies boat is without a blower belt cover as well and whenever I'm sitting in the seat facing it I start thinking about how awful and gruesome it would be if something happened and my shirt got caught in it or a finger or whatever!!! :jawdrop: (I get bored on those long trips back up river) Anyway it's just about then I start getting that swerve into oncoming traffic feeling, you know when you start thinking about how just a little flick of your wrist and :2purples: ....carnage.... Well anyway I think he needs a cover too so what will one of those smoke dealios for an 8-71 on a 496 run??
