How much did you pay? A customer wants me to work his 50th b-day for a flat fee and I have no idea how much to charge...I think it will be from 7 until 1 or 2. He is very generous and told me to "be aggressive in my pricing because he is not cheap"...I appreciate the fact he'll pay good money, but don't want to take advantage...
What would you pay?
(Tonight he tipped $100 on a $48 check to persuade me to work his party, LOL) :boxed:

We've done it many times. Usually depends on # of people. But you can figure between $700-900 and they bring all the good stuff. Gives me a lot more time to enjoy the party.

Wow, 500 seems way out of line. If you only work 5 or 6 hours, at lets say 20 an hour plus tips, that seems like plenty. If the bartender is good they'll earn tips, especially if the drinks are free. If a bartender gets a 100 per hour plus tips, I'm closing my shop and pouring beer from now on.

I think that $100.00 plus tips wouldnt get me to give a Friday or Saturday night! $100.00 will buy you what? A tank of gas! Our economy is going down hill so fast you can hear it. I work construction and do jobs on a piece work basis and I wont even fire up the truck for less than $200.00 and I charge them mileage on top of that too. Lets face it $100.00 in todays economy is like about $30.00 or $40.00 was even 10 years ago!
So I would be especting to pay someone at least $300.00 plus tips for a weekend gig! If this guy want Bunny and no one else than she should get a premium, IMHO.

I was thinking the same thing...the guy tips you $100 on a $50 dollar tab then asks you to his house??
I would be careful, make sure you get to keep your pirate outfit on. Ask the dude if you can bring your husband....if he says no or hesitates, I say forget it!!!
And $500 is fair......most the bartenders I know in OC make $400 to $500 per night.
Where do you work..I'll come by..I'm in Dana Point...

Damn! I like those numbers ACL...I think since he's already a good customer I'll give him a break..If it was someone I didn't really know I'd be charging like that...Glad she does good work for you though...I bet you have alot of happy customers! :p :p
I think she knows this guy
and what is happening is simply, everyone likes to look at hot chicks and she is very pleasing to the eyes.
Obviously this guy has cash and like alot of people have no problem dumping on pretty girls

All of the private parties at peoples home that I have been to, that have had professional bartenders, there was NO TIPPING ALLOWED. Even when I tried to slip something on the sly, it has always been refused. I don't even try anymore. You may want to make it clear ahead of time what all of the conditions are before you decide the rate, but a $100/hr doesn't sound unreasonable.

This may be true...but if it was...I dont think she would have asked a question on how much to charge him. Just because he is a regular customer at Peppinos doesnt mean she knows this man.
Take my "unsolicited advice" Cindy...(as much as you think I am a bitch) I have Always cared about you & your family. I wouldnt want anyone to hurt you.
& Yes Smart ass ( Kilr) she is very pretty...Duh...that why this guy wants her in a sexy cotume at his house!
