Anyone pulled one apart? what is the small 3 slotted post with a shakeproof washer under it? a screw?? How does the baseplate come off?
Thanks.

I've had both of mine apart and all it should take, if I remember right, are the removal of the four bottom screws. What are you trying to accomplish??

Replacing the motor shaft seal. I've taken out the four screws but the plate doesnt seem to want to come off.

I'll pull my spare out and take a look tonight if you like?? It's been awhile since I've torn it apart.

I went out and got my spare and all it took for me is to remove the 3 screws for the base plate along with the two for the bracket. It came right off with no problems!!!

Thanks Stix,
I've got it apart. The slotted post with a washer was a special type of screw. I guess they put that there to discourage people from pulling the thing apart. Nothing a file and spanner couldnt get around though. I have replaced it with a cap screw. Pump is now together again, not leaking, and working well.
Thanks again.
Paul.
