This is our yearly trip made with family and friends. This year was even better because we had a new trailer. No more roughing it. :)
We left Friday night and stopped at Boulder Creek in Lone Pine to meet up with my cousins to break the drive up. This is Saturday morning.

Stopped to get some jerky in Bishop. Here's the truck and trailer.

Here is a pic of Mono Lake from 395.

At our destination with a great spot. The view of the creek out the window was awesome and the sound at night was perfect.

Two nice bucks feeding in the creek in front of our camp.

There were bears in camp every night too.
http://www.***boat.com/image_center/data/500/1524DSC02668.JPG
He ripped up this guys tent and went through their food. He munched on buttered popcorn. Later that night that little bastard got in my cooler and took my fish. I chased him into the woods with my flash light. Once he stood up and looked at me with my fish in his mouth I threw the rest of them to him. :jawdrop:

You see the bears all the time but in all the years we have been going up there I have never heard of them attacking anyone. They don't have a problem walking right by you but you can tree them if you are drunk and chase them...so I have heard. :rollside:

Thanks someone posted a link to googles and then I went over to the sky view to zoom in, so now I know where it is, no to far from vegas, I was at the dunes up there near death valley last fall, and I saw that big lake "walker lake" on the way up to tahoe, but here is a cool web site for zooming in on stuff.

So is that that tomsplace that you sayed at and What is the cost to camp with your camper, do you just park anywhere, or hows that work. Can you ride ATV up there or is that a no no.

Both.
The East Walker is barbless artificial bait only. 1 fish limit over 18".
The West Walker you can use bait. Single salmon eggs are the ticket. You can catch fish all day long.

It's a new 2007 model. The Kitchen is not small at all. I have more counter and storage space than most, plus it separates the rooms nicely.

Virginia Lakes and West Walker were easy limits. We released a lot back.
The Upper Twin, East Walker, and Bridgeport Lake weren't so hot.
There still was a lot of water moving in the Walker though.

Topaz is awesome! I've only driven by it, but it was glass every time with people skiing on it. Looks like it might get blown out often though from the wind coming across the valley. Not any more than most lakes we go to though, I'm sure.
