Just a few shots of the Long Beach Sprint boat races today....had to leave early but i wanted to share what i got this morning...

a few more ...look at the last pic ...they driver and nav.flipped out and you can barely see the driver's feet as he cartwheels on the water ...did not hear if he was okay ..i hope all went well..

We went to the races today and had a great time. Had two boats roll over going into turn two at the south end of the course in two seperate races. Another boat in the K class (they go about 130mph) flipped his boat also down in the south end of the course in front of the pits. The drivers of the two boats that rolled early in the day were ok and the driver of the K class boat was taken to the hospital for observation. The driver and the navigator of the Cracker were also ok. Heard someone say that the driver of the Cracker Box stuffed the nose.

That's too bad...sorry to hear of the crashes...hope no one was seriously injured. We almost went back today....just did not make it.

Just got back from Long Beach, what a great show they put on.
Great boat racing at very spectator friendly location.

I agree, a nice set up there ...we got there kinda late and parked on he grass on the north end ..but could see the whole track and the north turn was right in front of us...walked up the east side a bit to take the pics of the cracker boxes... then we had to go...could have had some great shots of the k's from there if i'd have realized it earlier..

Tony S was drag racing boats this weekend and not at long beach. Tonys orange K boat was at loong beach with Tye Newton driving.

If youre talking about the boat in pic that flipped, it was a cracker so prolly not youre friend. Was there another boat that flipped also?

We went on saturday and had an awesome time! Saw the flip as well as the boat that didn't made the turn and went aground right in front of us. They ended up having a crane pull it out. Crazy stuf!
We had a blast though. :rollside:

If not mistaken it was Dave Rankens k boat that fliped on sat. And I think it was Tony Scarlata that was driving his boat.

I am almost positive that Tony was not driving.

Dave Bryant Crashed Dave Rankins K-69 on Saturday and came out unharmed.
Jim Bandelin Crashed the K-8 on Sunday at the end of the straight, and was taken to the hospital. I was told that he might have a broken hip, and some cuts.
Tony Scarlata was in Marble Falls racing the TAF.
